Glamorgan Spring Bay Council encompasses the towns of Buckland, Orford, Maria Island, Triabunna, Swansea, Bicheno and Coles Bay areas of the beautiful east coast of Tasmania, Australia.

The municipality stretches along the coast and encompasses the iconic 'Freycinet National Park' and 'The Hazards'.

Next Ordinary Meeting of Council - Tuesday 22 July 2008 at Swansea Chambers, commencing at 1.00pm. 

At a special meeting of Council on the 30th June 2008, Council adopted the Annual Plan and Budget Estimates for 2008-2009.  Any queries in relation to this document can be directed to Mrs Belinda Daly, Manager Corporate Services on 6257 4753.

Council is seeking feedback in relation to the proposed Environmental Health By-Law 1 or 2008.  Please view this document along with the Regulatory Impact Statement and provide any feedback you may have to the General Manager, PO Box 6, Triabunna  Tas   7190.   The consultation phase will cease at 5pm on the 8th July 2008 at which point all submissions will be reviewed.

Water Restrictions NOW REMOVED for SWANSEA effective from midnight on Saturday 7th June2008.

Stage 3 Water Restrictions CONTINUE to apply for Coles Bay, Orford and Triabunna.

Currently no Water Restrictions for Bicheno. 

Boil Water Alert for Swansea remains in place.

At the Council Meeting of April 22nd 2008 the Council endorsed a community consultation phase of the redrafted Weed Management Plan for an 8 week period with community comments invited for consideration.  Section One andTwo and the draft Coles Bay Weed Action Plan are also available from the Swansea and Triabunna Council Offices.  For more information contact the Natural Resource Management Officer on 6256 5056 or 0408 565 225.
