WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
The area of Waste Management has evolved over the past two years from being several landfill sites to environmentally responsible waste management and recycling centres. Council continues to operate its kerbside collection and recycling service throughout the Municipality.
Council decided to operate the collection and disposal of the kerbside Waste Management collection internally, opting to purchase the plant and equipment and employed locals to fill the new positions created.
Council will continue to promote and implement the Waste Management Strategy and it's associated implications.
WASTE MANAGEMENT CENTRE OPERATIONS
Council operates Waste Management Centres in Bicheno, Coles Bay, Swansea and Orford.
Opening hours for all the Waste Management Centres are from 2:30 to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, and Sunday 12:30 to 4:30. SATURDAY'S CLOSED.
